THE FACE OF BENINGBOROUGH 2010 FINALISTS !!!!!

We have reached the final week . This has been a hard fought contest , but I have finally picked my 20 finalists!!!!!! I have chosen these models because they have achieved a high standard in both their photographs and on the runway . They have stood out for either their unusual or strong looks, or great styling abilities , standing out from the rest when present on the runway.

Thankyou to all who has entered this contest, I was so pleased to see so many new faces, and I hope you have all gained some useful experience.

This week is Finalists Week !!! From Saturday 23rd January only the 20 Finalists will take to the runway and at the end of the week on Saturday 30th January at 1pm at Moolto Island we will hold a special Finalists HOB Fashion Show where the Finalists will show themselves off to their best ability in HOB gowns and the Winner will be chosen by a panel of judges !!!!!

Each day this week the Finalists will be set a theme or fashion genre wearing HOB gowns and outfits . I will mark the models on thier interpretation of each theme and their knowledge of different fashion genre, as well as their styling abilities. Also the poses they choose are very important .

Saturday 23rd January – Red Carpet Glamour

Sunday – Avant Garde

Monday – Shopping trip to Rodeo Drive- Casual, chic , classy

Tuesday – Fantasy /Fairytale

Wednesday – High Fashion Couture

Thursday – A Night at the Opera or a High Society Charity Ball

Saturday – Freestyle- dress to impress , what each model considers their best HOB look.

This will be a fierce competition, there are some very strong candidates in this Finalists week, and the outcome is far from certain , so good luck ladies , this is a great prize and you will have to pull out all the stops to win . Cant wait to see how you all perform!!!

WEEK 7 PREFINALISTS -FACE OF BENINGBOROUGH 2010

We are into the last week of entry for the Face of Beningborough 2010 !!! This has been a great contest and I was so pleased to see so many new faces over the weeks. Ultimately I am looking for a very polished model with great looks and sense of style who can look both sophisticated and elegant and also push her look to the edge and still look good!!! Not as easy as it looks believe me !!  However we also try to give new models starting in their modeling career a chance to experience a professional runway and i know from the testimonials a lot of you new models have sent me , you have made some lifelong friends , some very useful contacts and this contest has indeed opened doors for you !!!  That was my goal in running this contest!!!

And to all the ladies who applied this week or do not make the final 20 , dont be disheartened, Im sure you have learnt a lot and I also sure you will have gotten the bug for modeling !!!  We will be starting our Monthly Model Awards on Febuary 1st. The monthly contest runs over 4 weeks and the winner will win 30,000L$ and appear in print in various sl publications such as Avenue magazine, Maniera and Bestyle. Plus like the FOB contest i will post the models each week on the House of Beningborough group on Moolto to give you all as much exposure as possible!!! This year there will be only one winner each month !!! Best pic and runway so you will have to step up your game ladies !!!

Next week I will announce the 20 Finalists who will take to the runway for Finalists week and will participate in the FOB Fashion Show at Moolto Island on Saturday 30th January at 1pm !!! Where we will pick our winner and runners up !!! the lucky winner will win 100k, and will be shot for the cover of Maniera magazine for Febuary and also be interviewed and shot for a double page spread. Plus she will be photographed and interviewed for Avenue Magazine  March edition!!! Plus a stunning crown and jewellery set by Caithlin Carter . The second runner up will win 20,000l$ & 3rd runner up 10,000l$ !!!

Maniera modeling agency will be hosting a HOB show in Febuary and the winner of the Face of Beningborough will also participate in this show as THE FACE OF BENINGBOROUGH !!!

WEEK 7 PREFINALISTS

I want to represent you because they think I am a elegant person and a lot more I like your clothes and think they are among the best in SL

Since rezzing into Second Life in January 2008, I immediately became fascinated by the incredible creativity of SL’s fashion designers.  From the start, I knew I wanted to work as a model and began my training with EVANE’s; in May 2008, I won the Evane’s Catwalk Contest.  I then continued my training with Ewing Fashion Agency.  Upon graduation I was asked to join the agency as a model and model trainer.  Currently, I am represented by Avenue Models, Boulevard Agency, Evane Model Agency, Ewing Fashion Agency, and Premiere Modeling .  I have successfully worked on both print ads and runway shows.  In 2009, I had the honor of competing in Miss Virtual World.

In my opinion, the House of Beningborough brings to SL fashion a luxurious elegance; these dresses make me feel beautiful and chic.   As the Face of Beningborough I would bring all of my experience and knowledge to elegantly display and diligently promote the House of Beningborough brand.

Modeling has been a learning process which I really began at HOB.     I think HOB designs are beautiful and creative; cutting edge and yet still feminine.  It would be such an honor to represent such a fine designer and person as you Bliss.  I have competed in other photo contests, participated in 3 runway shows, I just graduated from SuperElite Academy Advanced Class, and will be starting their Elite Class soon. I am taking the advanced class at Platinum right now.  I am also a model for CCD and have recently been accepted as an instructor at The Fashion Institute.  I enjoy meeting people and being creative….modeling really fits with that.

    My name is Rissa Friller and i’m a striving print/runway model of SL and i’m enjoying every minute of it.  I love love love fashion. and i think SL is absolutely amazing with the variety of clothes and styles it has.  I’ve been working hard the past couple of months, trying to sharpen my modeling skills.  I am currently a student with GLANCE academy and i am about to graduate from TnT and MPI also.  I am also currently in classes with Look Elite academy too.  I have done one runway show so far and i had a blast and look forward to doing many more.  I would be honored to be the face of Beningborough because i simply think your clothes are by far the best in SL. and i love to set trends and just have fun with fashion.  I feel i am that classy sophisticated model you are looking for. 

In a very short paragraph, I entered SL in June.  This is January, so I am here for less than seven months — which I really consider a good improvement, for now I know at least how to dress and behave here.  It was not very easy, though, and it is still very difficult.  For instance, up to now I still don’t know how to fly — almost always I end at the bottom of the sea or inside some wall or car.
As soon as I saw the first model here, I decided I would try to be one too;  this is my very first contest.   However, between my subjective intentions and objective results there is an appalling gap, which I hope to reduce as time goes by.  And to choose these photos, my God, I looked like an art amateur at Agnews haggling over a statuette.  Yes, I very much want to be a model, and above all, to be among the finalists of The Face of Beningborough 2010.  Who knows, maybe the juri decides to choose a little working ant like me, still a noob, but full of good will and anthusiasm.  My, what an achievement that would be!  After all, the House of Beningborough is one of the best houses in world.  Good luck to all my colleagues… and to me, yes!

The HOB contest has now reached Week 7 and the closer it gets, the more I want to win:) I’ve always believed in setting the goals high, to fight for it, to work hard for it. I take each contest, whether I place or not, as a banner and a learning experience for the next competition. I want to be represented by the major agencies who prides on having experienced, advanced super models, to represent the Haute Couture designers, well known and new designers. I want to reach the top, to be able to wear the “Super Model” tag, to be able to be a muse to designers, and my face to be recognized. I want it all! And I am determined and confident that all these wonderful expereriences that I am going through, is going to make me reach the top:)

Why I would love to be the Face of Beningborough 2010:
6 weeks has gone by and I would like to thank Ms. Beningborough for having such a wonderful contest that gives us models, and me personally, an opportunity to grow, to challenge ourselfs, our fashion taste, and also a great place to meet other wonderful fellow models. Thank you! I’ve enjoyed these last few weeks immensly and I truly hate for it to end. I believe that we, not only as a model, but as a person, constantly need to evolve. I feel that these last few weeks, I have been able to grow so much and this is thanks to wonderful friends who support me in my endeavor to reach the top in the modeling industry. I love, truly love, your designs, and it would be such a tremendous honor to be able to represent the name of HOB and would take pride in wearing your designs, which I allready do. I started one month after I joined Sl. I went on for about 6 months. I took a brake and I’m trying to work my way back into the Fashion Scene once again. The reason I wish to become a Beningborough Model. I’ve seen how your Model’s stand with pride and honor. None any better than the other. They work today.

My name is Laila Macalroy. I’ve been a resident of Second Life for two months. I enjoy my time here, making the most of every minte I spend in my ever interesting virtual life! Initially I came to SL to start a business with a friend of mine, however, modeling is something I’ve always been interested in so I decided to give it a try. I’m very happy I did because it’s been amazing! So far, I’ve been in several competitions, my first being an open casting with P&N Modeling Academy, which I won (I’ve already started my classes). I was very excited about that! It boosted my confidence and actually inspired me to keep going. Since then, I’ve modeled for Revnik and spent two weeks on the JCNY Runway as a showcase model in December 2009. I would like to be the Face of Beningborough 2010 because I take pride in what I do, who I am as a person & my potential to be #1. My time on the runway or in front of the camera is never taken lightly. It’s not a job to me or simply something I do; it’s who I am. I take it seriously and only conduct myself with the utmost dignity, which is how I will represent House of Beningborough. The 2010 Face of Beningborough should be someone who is repectful of others and not only has an eye for fashion but IS fashion. This person should be someone who may not necessarily be the best model there is at the moment, but has the mentality, the drive and the willingness that it takes to be the best, therefore making that person a winner already. I believe that is me, therefore I believe I am the 2010 Face of Beningborough!

I love the fashion world in SL.  The creativity of the designers, the marvelous looks you can out together, and how much fun you can have on a daily or sometimes hourly basis you can have changing your look.  I have taken classes with a number of the top academies striving to be the best model I can possibly be.  I have been a runner-up at JCNY, made the sub list for the SuperElite SuperSearch – Winter and been invited to several agencies.   I am thrilled to have any opportunity to show the great designs of SL and would love to be part of the Face of Beningborough contest!!!

I think your gowns and styles are of the best in Second Life. I like to be the best and to wear the finest quality  in Second Life fashion. Your contests have allowed someone new and fresh, like me, to  learn, improve, and become the best model I can be.  As your styles are fresh, new, and innovative to Second Life, what better way  to promote them than using the best fresh faces in Second Life? As you continue to bring us the very best in Second LIfe Fashion, I will continue to promote your amazing clothes in the best way that I can in  my photos,  on the runway, and as I wear them in my Second Life. I have many people ask me where my lovely gowns come from, and I am happy to say, “The House of Beningborough.”

I am a model for over a year now but i still feel i have so much to learn. The good thing is  that i am stubborn and persevering when is about learning and reaching the goal.  I see like ” every kick in the back is a step further” so i learn from my mistakes and try not to make them again. I accept criticism like a way of learning not like an offense so u can be tough with  me ).  I also like to say straight what is bothering me so i expect the same from you.
My fashion sense I think is more natural than educated, rooted within my love for art in any shape: music, photography, painting, literature. Is like a journey of self awareness and burns me from inside out. All that i learn and have learnt in sl helped me to improve it.

I know experience is not the single  most important factor when is about reaching you goal, sometimes you can make up with your work ethic and willingness to learn. So when i set a goal i do everything possible and sometimes a bit more, to achieve what i have sat my mind to.

I’d love to be FACE OF BENINGBOROUGH 2010 because i love challenges( is also a challenge with myself) and is a way to test my skills and also to show my dedication for this fashion house which i see it like a model, a pattern of how fashion should be seen and done here in sl and why not in rl also. I take off my hat and bow infront of this hard work that Bliss Beningborough does and i’d do my best to represent her and her designs the best way possible with respect and commitment.

I am enrolled at the Famous Academy  and Glance.  I was lucky to be selected as a week 6 finalist for the house of Beningborough and hoping to be here till the very end.  I really do feel like a godess while I wear the gowns of Beningborough…

I am an aspiring model, who can bring a dark elegance and style as the Face of Beningborough.

I have been very excited and honored that to be include this amazing contest as model and and as photographer. Everyweek , I have lot of works for this competation. I love to work with lovely models and great desings from Beningborough. I excited when i see new model with new outfits to come for taken photograph for this contest. I do my best as photographer for them. And when I see their name on the winner list, I am very happy and I proud of them. So, wonderful thing to be with them on the runway and represent that amazing desingns of Beningborough. All of them on my memory. I really know all wonderfull gowns or dresses in my mind how they wonderful represent. And i love that outfits and to be part of Beningborough works.

I have discovered a love for unique looks since finding Beningborough, and the designs here are perfect for expressing that.  I am a new model, but I would like to think that through this contest I have shown I am willing to adapt, take risks and have a lot of fun with what is expected of me.  As the Face of Beningborough I would continue to develope as a model and strive to be the very best Face of Beningborough yet.  Even if I don’t win, this oportunity has been fabulous and I have made some wonderful friends.  Thank you so much for the oportunity to be a part of something so exciting.

To answer the question as requested, this contest has been my primary achievement in SL thus far.  Since I began shooting photographs to compete here, I’ve been invited to a modeling agency and appeared in the January issue of VR Style magazine.  I’ve also met some amazing people, learned a TON both on my own and through the help of others, and made some new friends working the runway that I hope will last far beyond our time here.  This contest has taught me how to style under pressure.  At this point, trying to imagine not being on the runway at Beningborough just makes me sad.  So its time to put the gloves on and fight for it.  I want to be the Face of Beningborough.  I want the honor of representing the brand in whatever way the winner may be called to do so.  I believe in the brand, in the image.  I believe in taking fashion, playing with it and sometimes even pushing it over the edge.  Yes, I am new to SL and I may not know everything a more veteran girl might, but being new also means that I am fresh to this entire experience.  I am still hungry for it and willing to work very hard.  So in the end, it is really about the clothes.  I want to be the Face of Beningborough because I love fashion and I believe that this is the place to be for it.

If this week is my last week to express thoughts, although I’ve already been a bit too long-winded, I would like to say thank you.  Thank you Bliss for pushing the boundaries with the clothes you produce.  Thank you even more for the contest.  There is no value you can put on everything I’ve learned from being here.

Starting my modeling career with Evane has been a great start.  Being a pre-finalist for weeks 3 and 5 have been one of the most remarkable experiences I have had since joining Second Life in 2007.  I have made many friends that will last a lifetime.  I have been granted the opportunity to wear some fascinating, unique, and bold designs.  Being “The Face of Beningborough” means that you are representing an Icon with extraordinary influence; fabulous taste and style in the Second Life Fashion Industry.  You’re putting a unparalled style together that others will have to buy. In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different. Welcome to the House of Beningborough.

Within the past three weeks, I have been invited into my first modeling agency (Infinite FOCUS), I have been cast in my first jewelry festival runway show which will feature 14 SL jewelry designers, and I am planning and will be heavily involved with writing and producing (for the first time) another runway event.  I have also been selected as a Finalist in the Calendar Models of SL 2010 competition.  A lot of “firsts” that I have been blessed with – yet being chosen as the Face of Beningborough is a goal I long to achieve as well, because I hope to be able to bring my passion for the House of Beningborough and infuse it into the hearts of SL fashionistas everywhere!  I have been honored and selected as a Prefinalist for Weeks 3 and 5, and have had the opportunity to wear many of these delectable designs and style them to my best ability.  When you step into the House of Beningborough, you are submerged into Bliss’s world of creativity.  The coutour – whether it be casual, formal, or fantasy – makes use of stunning, visually enticing coloring, tantalizing textures, and sculpted prims; her designs are strong, distinctive, and mesmerizingly intriguing.  I love fashion that gives me the flexibility to style it to my own taste and make my own statement.  I like to think that each garment at the House of Beningborough is akin to an artist’s canvas and we each get to take that canvas and style it into our own unique work of art.  We have one woman to thank for all of this as well as for giving new and experienced models the chance to bring it – and show it – and style it for the House of Beningborough. 

I discovered the fashion world of second life in 2007 and I have been hooked on modeling every since.  Experienced in everything from runway to print ads to teaching, modeling truly is my passion and I am always looking for new and challenging opportunities.  When I see an ad of a House of Beningborough creation, I am always entranced and filled with a burning desire to be in that ad, to look that fashionable, that beautiful, to be seen by thousands of shoppers.  My desire is to be a top model, the best of the best, and to me, being the Face of Beningborough would mean taking a large leap towards achieving this goal.  For the challenge, for the honor, for the sheer joy of exhibiting amazing creations: That is why I want to be the Face of Beningborough.

 

I love wearing clothes from Beningborough … they allow me to be original and whimsical, but always  continuing the style and elegance that distinguishes them and makes them unique. Being The Face of Beningborough would make me extremely happy and honored, and now it ’s my biggest dream.

Hello, my name is helen Zhora,i’m from Italy.And i love been an Sl model. I’m still very new, in both experience and knowledge. But I’ve work hard with great instructors and now I need to make it all happen on my own.Been in some contests.I just love being apart of it. I hope one day to be a top model in Sl,and be know by famous designers like you. grazie

I am very new to the Second Life modeling scene.  What I lack in experience, however, I feel I make up for with enthusiasm, attitude, organization, and a strong work ethic.  My goal is to become a top model in SL, through continued training, consistent performance, and charisma.  I wish to be the Face of Beningborough because the designs are at the forefront of SL fashion, edgy, classy, challenging both to the model and the photographer, and absolutely stunning.  Not only would the experience be huge for my Second Life modeling career, but where better to gain in-depth experience in SL style?
